DIVISIONS

LEADLINE

Open to riders 8 years of age and under who have not competed in any classes in a show other than Leadline. Entries will be asked to trot. Riders to be judged on elementary fundamentals of horsemanship. 3 entries are needed to complete the class for points to count.

 

PRE MINI STIRRUP
This division is intended for those riders that are not yet ready to show independently but have advanced past Leadline. Emphasis will be on equitation, safety, and suitability of horse/pony. Martingales, grazing reins, and other training equipment are permitted. Each horse/rider has the option to have a handler. Riders will be asked to demonstrate the walk and the trot. May be asked to sit to the trot, display their half seat, circle, etc.

 

MINI STIRRUP
Open to riders who have never shown in any division, at any show, where cantering is required. Once a rider competes in any class or division other than Mini Stirrup or Walk-Trot; except Leadline; they are no longer eligible for the Mini Stirrup division. 

BEGINNER SHORT/LONG STIRRUP

Open to horses and ponies. Only open to riders who have never shown in any division, at any show, where they have shown over fences more than 18" in height. To be shown over a course of crossrails 18" in height. Trotting crossrails is permitted. To be judged on manners, performance, and suitability. Riders may not cross-enter into any other division or class except Pleasure Horse/Pony at the same competition. Riders to canter one at a time starting before the coner.

SHORT/LONG STIRRUP HUNTER/EQUITATION
Open to children and adults that have never shown in any divisions, at any show, where fence height specifications are 2’ or higher. To be shown over a course of 2-8 jumps LESS THAN 2’ in height. Riders may not cross-enter into any other division or class except Pleasure Horse/Pony or Novice Equitation at the same competition.

NOVICE EQUITATION

Open to children and adults. To be shown over a course of 6 verticals 18" in height including a diagonal. Riders may not cross-enter into any other division or class except Pleasure Horse/Pony and Short/Long Stirrup at the same competition. 


PLEASURE HORSE/PONY
To be shown at a walk, trot, canter both ways of the ring. To be judged on performance and soundness with emphasis on manners. No martingales permitted. The class may be split into two (2) separate sections (horses and ponies) if entries warrant and at management’s discretion. 
 
LOW HUNTER
Open to horses and ponies with no restriction as to rider. To be judged on performance and soundness, with emphasis on manners. To be shown over a course of 8 fences with one change of direction. Fences 2’-2’3". Management may combine with Modified and Children’s/Adult Hunter division. 
 
MODIFIED HUNTER
Open to horses and ponies with no restriction as to rider. To be shown over a course of 8 fences. Fences 2’6". Management may combine with Low and Open Hunter division. 

OPEN HUNTER
Open to horses and ponies with no restriction as to rider. To be shown over a course of 8  fences. Fences 3’. Management may combine with Low and Modified Hunter division. 

PRE-CHILDREN'S/ADULT EQUITATION
Open to riders of any age. No professionals. This division is designed to encourage those with minimal show experience. To be shown over a course of 8 fences. Fences 2’3". Management may combine with any other equitation division. 

MODIFIED CHILDREN'S/ADULT EQUITATION
Open to riders of any age. No professionals. To be shown over a course of 8 fences. Fences 2’6". Management may combine with any other equitation division. 

CHILDREN'S/ADULT EQUITATION
Open to riders of any age. No professionals. To be shown over a course of 8 fences. Fences 3’. Management may combine with any other equitation division. 

HVHJA CHILD/ADULT MEDAL

Open to horses and ponies. Fence heights: 2'-2'3", 2'6-2'9", 3'-3'3". Top 4 to test. If 3 or more entries per height, each section will be pinned separately. The Top 15 riders in the standings will qualify for Finals. Finals class will run with an open card for each height section and will be judged as one class and will be tested on the flat.

 

TRAINING JUMPERS (PICK YOUR HEIGHT)
Open to horses and ponies with no restriction as to rider. Fence heights: Crossrails, 2'-2'3", 2’6"-2'9", or 3'-3'3". If 3 or more entries per height, each section will be pinned separately.
